They're, Their, and There; which one do I use? "They're" means "They are" as in "They're moving to California." "Their" means "belonging to them" as in "Their house is big." "There" indicates location as in "I would love to go there." and sometimes "there" means that something exists as in "There are three kittens next door."

Affect v. Effect - Affect is usually a verb. "The storm affected our vacation." Effect is normally a noun. "The effect was that we stayed indoors."
