Introducing our first Wheel of the Year candle: Imbolc! Inspired by pagan holidays and significant dates within the Briarverse, our newest line of AG Alchemy candles will feature four seasonal celebrations, beginning with Imbolc, a traditional celebration of the coming of spring! The theme is "Spring Born in Winter," and has head notes of ivy, winter, and frost melded with head notes of smoke, birch branches, and dried tea leaves, and rounded out with soul notes ...of earth, incense, and vetiver root. My brand new spooky, moody home office is just about finished and I had to share a few pics before I do a full tour post! The walls, window trim, baseboards, and even the ceiling were all painted a historical gray-green, and the built in desk that was just finished is a contrasting black-green with the lighter color inside the bookshelves. Throughout the day, the paint color changes as the early light bounces off the greenery outside my PNW windows, then turns gr...ay and finally emerald as the sun sets. It's inspiring, cozy, and SO beautiful. The chair is an old Art Deco find (as are the wyvern light sconces which I'll shoot for the final reveal!) and that's kind of the vibe I was going for, that mix of early American gothic and 20s Art Deco. I love that period of history with its wave of spiritualism and occult interest in the States. Seeing that lush garden gate just outside my office window every day is so inspiring and evocative.
