Since 1925, members of NYC's performing arts community, the Episcopal Actors’ Guild, and the Church of the Transfiguration have gathered together to honor and celebrate those colleagues we have lost in the previous year. We are pleased to be able to gather virtually for this heartfelt event in 2020. The traditional evensong service is led by Father John David van Dooren and includes music from Little Church Director of Music Claudia Dumschat, personal reflection, a reading o...f the names, and a call for one final standing ovation. We're honored that this year's Memorial Address was given by Tony Award-nominee (Best Director, The Little Foxes) Austin Pendleton (actor: Fiddler on the Roof; The Muppet Movie, Choir Boy). Please join us as we say goodbye to those who have enriched our lives through their contributions to the performing arts. A pdf copy of the accompanying program for this event, which includes the names of the readers and performers, titles of the musical selections, and the memorial list of names read during the service, is available for download at www.actorsguild.org/eag11082020.
