, ... Happy Women's History Month Women have always played an important role in our communities. This month we reflect on those who came before us and continue to inspire us to this day. We are very proud of all the women-identifying folks in our community, for their role that benefits a whole new generation. Adhikaar is a women-led organization that organizes workers in the women-led Domestic Work and Nail Salon industry. We are excited, and looking forward to celebrating this month!

As part of the We are Home campaign, we are proud that our domestic worker and TPS member Sundari Rai is a part of this virtual roundtable, with Senator Alex Padilla, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, Congressman Joaquin Castro, Rep. Ted Lieu, and partners like National Domestic Workers Alliance and FWD.us to introduce The Citizenship for Essential Workers Act today. As essential workers, domestic workers in our community like Sundari have put their lives on the line every day going to work to take care of families, children and our elders during the pandemic. Millions of immigrant workers in this country deserve a pathway to citizenship. Time is NOW for Congress to pass permanent protections for essential workers. #wearehome #beyondtemporary
