This thurs meeting is ZOOM only. Please pm me for invite.

Adirondack Bass Club 10.12.2020

Yesterday turned out to be a windy but beautiful day until the very end. Several chose to run south and put a beating on their boats while several stayed north and picked the lake apart. The results? A mix of Smalls and Large with the North taking the cake. First Place goes out to Mr. Russ LaChapelle who co-angled the northern end of lake to a 13.21 lb bag with a 4.86 lb largemouth for lunker. Second Place with 10.34 lbs goes to Luke Musto who despite Titanicesque equi...pment issues made it back to the launch after a full day of fishing. Third Place goes to Mike O'Brien with 10.00 lbs even, scoring some much needed points after a frustrating season. Final Payout in fourth place goes to outgoing Tournament Director Brian Welch with 9.13 Lbs. As you know this closes out our 2020 points series. The Adirondack Bass Club would like to congratulate Rich Ortiz who won Angler of the Year for 2020 with 490.37 points!! First year in the Club and the man gets quite a bit of hardware!!!! Awesome Job! Six Man Team will be sorted out shortly, however top six anglers are as follows Rich Ortiz, Russ LaChapelle, Brian Welch, Luke Musto, Mike O'Brien, Logan Hansen. Of course keep in mind that members must meet club requirements to qualify for State Team and choose to go. We will get this roster squared up at the next meeting. Congrats to top six!! We have our Club open on October 4 at Ticonderoga. Look forward to a great turnout!!

Adirondack Bass Club 23.10.2020

Yesterday was the 3rd points tourney for the year. We fished out of Port Henry. Weather was on everyone's minds as we blasted off on that cloudy morning. By noon rains were around and that wind was howling. Fishing was pretty good overall and a few guys really caught em. In fourth place young Logan Hansen got the job done with 13.84 lbs. In third place, Russ LaChapelle wieghed in at 14.55lbs. Russ is on a tear this season finishing in the money every tournament... I believe. 2nd Place goes to none other than Joel Marcotte taking a .25lb penalty for a dead fish weighing a bag after penalty of 17.14lbs. Once again, our resident music man Rich Ortiz took another victory with 17.17lbs enough to eek out a victory! Great Job Mr. Ortiz!!! Lunker goes to Jeff Haines who had lunker with 4.86lbs. Great job Jeff. Next stop Schroon Lake! See more

Rich Ortiz with 2 Cossayuna 5+lbers!!

Adirondack Bass Club 31.08.2020

We had a terrific showing today at Cossayuna Lake. 17 boats showed up and got down to business. In the end one man, Rich Ortiz put on a clinic for the crowd with a solid bag of 22.81lb. Rich also brought down the hammer on lunker with a 5.55lb largemouth. Congrats Rich! I believe this gives you the lead in AOY standings. John McDougall came in second with a great bag of 17.02lb. Great start for John in the points series. Third place goes to a local favorite P.J. Cl...ark. P.J. scraped together a bag of 15.52. 1st place non boater went to Darren Duell who showed up and caught some fish. Great day! Thanks to all members who participated today. Our next stop is Lake Champlain Aug. 2nd out of Port Henry. See you there!

Adirondack Bass Club 10.08.2020

Yesterday kicked off the Adirondack Bass Club points series for 2020. As you know we had to relocate in haste as our permit was revoked by Vermont due to out of state quarantine requirements. Our Tournament Director worked quickly to figure out a plan B and we had a great turn out and interesting day of fishing. Thank you as always to Brian for the work you put into the tournament season. Now to the results. We expected 20 anglers and met that number. A great start! ...Weather was less than ideal with wind, cold, clouds, and rain. Not all the time but most of the time. 1st place non- boater goes to Russ LaChapelle who is on fire with a 10.92 lb bag. 3rd place boater goes to Kelby Truax with a 11.74lb bag. 2 nd place goes to Rich Ortiz who came in swinging with a 14.31lb bag. And our winner and lunker goes to none other than Luke Musto, our Jedi of Lake Champlain with 16.98 lbs of bass. Not his biggest bag for sure but got it done. Lukes lunker was a 4.54 lb greenback. Results are posted here and will be on website soon. Our summer open is Jun 28th. Mark your calendars. Mike

Adirondack Bass Club 10.07.2020

Hi all, this will be a long and wordy post but it is important. Please read carefully. Sunday we are planning on having our second paper tournament of the year. Obviously it is with some trepidation that we proceed. We have received guidance from BASS to help us maintain a safe socially distanced event. It will be cumbersome for sure but doable. There has been a lot of interest as of late regarding participation in this event. I want to clarify some important details ...for anyone who is thinking of participating. ****Please go to adirondack bass webpage and view the BASS Covid 19 guidelines. Right side of main page*** 1. This is not an open tournament. It is Adk Bass Club members only. New members are welcome. Dues must be paid prior to the blast off that morning. Dues are $60 if you have no affiliation with another BASS club in the area. $10 otherwise. 2. This is a boater/ non boater event. Pairings will be random draw. IF THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH BOATS NON BOATERS WILL BE SENT HOME BASED ON WHEN THEY PREREGISTERED. 3. PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. If you are definitely attending, go to the adirondack bass club website and preregister by friday night 9 pm. If you are linking with another member non boater please indicate that. Non boater that is linked need not register again. 4. If you do not preregister by 9pm friday. You risk not being able to participate as we will try to have only paired boats fishing for fairness and verification. 5. IMPORTANT: we usually run this with club issued scales. Due to the potential for more boats than expected we may switch to bump board measurements. Golden Rule or other rule verified against club rule will suffice. If we have 11 or less boats we will run scales. 6. Tournament is 40 bucks. Payouts are determined by number of boats. 7. Please make sure you bring proper face masks and hand sanitizer. 8. Please do not approach the tournament director with money or anything else until there is clear access. We will establish a reg line allowing for 6 feet plus spacing 9. BE EARLY. Boaters will be required to launch their own boat and park there vehicle. No exceptions. This will also be the case for haul out. Will be frustrating on a sunday afternoon. We know that. It's the rules. I'm sure we will have more announcements as we get closer. New membership will open the door to our summer points series. Schedule can be found on our facebook page. We would love new members. I will post the rest of the summer schedule tomorrow. Live Long and Prosper, Mike

Adirondack Bass Club 19.02.2020

Its official, 2019 points series is in the books. Cossayuna today offered tough fishing, beautiful weather, and rewards to a select few fisherman. A very big congratulations go out to Corey DiLorenzo. Corey not only came in 1st place today with a big bag of 15.68 lbs, he also secured AOY for 2019!!!!! Way to seal the deal Corey! 2nd place goes to Ralph Iorio. Ralph utilized a "secret bait" to secure 2nd place with a respectable 13.41 lbs. Great job Ralph! 3rd... place goes to veteran Adk Bass member Russ LaChapelle with a 11.01 bag. Way to go Russ. Russ also ran into a very big bass but still missed Lunker. More on that in a minute. Finally, 4th place goes to none other than Mr. Brian Welch, our tireless tournament director with a 9.92 lb haul. So, Lunker this tournament was also one of the biggest bass taken by this club in a few years. Brian Welch caught a 5.63 lb pig to round out his nearly 10lb bag with 5 fish. ???? You do the math. It was a tough day. Nonetheless, this truly awesome fish landed Brian lunker for today and Lunker overall for 2019. Way to go Brian! Great achievement! I would like to mention Russ was Brian's non boater today and landed a 5.12 lb bass as well. These guys found the honey hole for bigguns!!! Thank you for all that participated this year, looks like a good six man team for 2020. More on that later. If you qualified. See you at the Classic. If not, dont forget our open at the end of September on Lake George.
