Last week, Mirror Lake froze, then melted. Today it refroze and will likely stay that way based on the forecast. The lake freezes, on average, 14-days later than it did in the early 1900s when the ice record began. Long-term data like these help us understand how Adirondack lakes are responding to recent climate change.
