These are not the droids you’re looking for....

The Noble Order of Muskovites is a degree put on by the Odd Fellows. It is open to any person in a service organization. From the Elks to the Masons and all in between. It's a degree. That's all. One time initiation fee. No dues. All proceeds go to charity. In February a Lodge of Odd Fellows in Portland, Oregon will be putting the Muskovite degree on virtually. $25 is the fee. I've registered and thought some of you gents might be so inclined. Think Shrine. But, instead of ...an Arabic theme it is a Russian one. SW

Special thanks to the members of Cobleskill 394 for allowing us to meet in their extra large lodge room and thereby obey all the GL’s mandates for social distancing. Although this is a difficult time for freemasonry we cannot allow it to pull us from the good works that must be done.

For those brothers who have been kept from us do to the recent pandemic. Perhaps we will meet again soon.

Tonight I was able to witness a historic event in fraternalism, the instillation of the Charter officers of Washington Irving Lodge #20 IOOF. There was a time, in the not too distant past, when Freemasonry and Odd-fellowship formed two of the three great fraternities in this country. Looking around the room tonight there were as many square and compass insignias in the room as there were three link insignias. It was exciting to see the resurgence of the Odd Fellows in real time, especially in the middle of all the turmoil and negativity in the world. And to see so many Masonic brothers involved makes me proud. The time is near where once again the bonds of fraternal friendship will closely unite our great organizations. Congratulations to the Noble Grand and his officers. We will be watching and rooting for your success! WM
