COVID-19 UPDATE Over the last few days, there has been much speculation about how the Coronavirus pandemic will affect the way we honor our loved ones. This is a very fluid situation, with changes coming about on an almost daily basis. As of Saturday, March 21, 2020, the latest ruling from the Governor’s Executive Order will take effect at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020, as follows regarding funerals: Immediate family, limited to as few people as possible, can gather at t...he funeral home for a private viewing and/or service. Immediate family should maintain social distancing, staying at least six feet apart. A graveside service at the cemetery, instead of a service at the funeral home, is also possible, but should still be for immediate family, limited to as few people as possible. It is advised that final disposition, being burial, entombment, or cremation, take place now, rather than being delayed. Having a Funeral Service or Funeral Mass at a church, is not possible at this time. Please be assured that as funeral service professionals, we are fully committed to the health and safety of the families we serve, our community, and our staff. To help address this developing public health concern, we have instituted specific precautionary measures to help lessen the spread of the virus by: Increasing the frequency of deep cleaning our entire facility per CDC guidelines. Offering expanded arrangement planning options through online, phone, and email while continuing to meet the needs of the families we serve, while still meeting the requirements of the law. As funeral directors, we are uniquely prepared to respond to this new threat. We pride ourselves on having the most up-to-date information and technology to respond to these changes. We will continue to be available to you and our community 24 hours a day. As we serve our families, we will be taking every possible precaution and continue to provide excellent care. Your health and safety and our staff’s, is of utmost importance to us as we try to mitigate the effects of this pandemic and limit the amount of disruption to what we know is already an extremely difficult time for families.
