Please note: Our phone tree system is back online for today May 3rd (telemedicine only) but please be aware that tomorrow we may experience some interruption of our service as we switch locations. Unfortunately the technical transfer was not as simple as we were originally told. Our technician will be onsite during the morning hours and we will have the lines forwarded during that time so you should still be able to get through to the front office after 9:30am and as always... the provider line will be available for urgent matters only. IN THE INTEREST OF PATIENT AND STAFF SAFETY OUR PHYSICAL OFFICE IS OPEN ONLY FOR NECESSARY APPOINTMENTS DURING THIS INITIAL "OPENING UP" PHASE. WE PLAN TO REOPEN FOR REGULAR OFFICE HOURS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THERE IS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF PLANNING THAT MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO SAFELY REOPENING. WE ARE CAREFULLY MONITORING THE LOCAL SITUATION AND ARE RESTARTING LIMITED HOURS WITH A "ONE AT A TIME" WAITING ROOM POLICY AND IN-CAR-WAITING AS WE FEEL THAT IT IS SAFE TO DO SO. W...E WILL LIKELY RE-OPEN IN A STAGED SCHEDULE OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS TO MEET PATIENT DEMAND AND MAINTAIN PATIENT SAFETY WHILE PROVIDING TELEMEDICINE VISITS FOR THOSE PATIENTS WHO WILL CONTINUE TO SELF ISOLATE AND SOCIALLY DISTANCE. ALL PATIENTS ENTERING THE OFFICE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS OVER THEIR MOUTH AND NOSE. UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT HAVE THE SUPPLY OR ABILITY TO PROVIDE MASKS TO PATIENTS AT THIS TIME AND WE REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE YOUR MASK ON PRIOR TO ENTERING THE BUILDING. WE ARE ALL HOPEFUL THAT THIS CRISIS WILL BE OVER SOON. All appointments both telemed as well as in office necessary visits should be scheduled by calling our office. As we do not yet have our support staff back, please be patient with us and leave a detailed message regarding the reason for your visit. Telemed visits are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and only necessary in office visits are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We do recieve between 30 and 50 messages each day, so please be patient with us as we make every attempt to keep up with them. We will NOT call patients back to confirm referrals or prescription refills that have been sent or completed. You should call your pharmacy to check the status of your refill and for referrals you should contact your specialist to confirm that it has been done. Referrals require a minimum of 5 days advance notice and depending on the type of insurance can take between 3 and 5 days to be approved. As a reminder: All prescription refills must be requested electronically through your pharmacy. The only exception would be a new prescription or a controlled substance. Please also note that we do NOT accept fax requests for refills. Finally, we would like to say THANK YOU, to all of our patients who have been understanding, supportive and so kind during this extremely difficult time. We know that things will be different in our office and will take some getting used to, but we believe that the changes we are making will be mutually beneficial.
