This was our 2nd Annual Health Fair at AMS II. The goal of the health fair is for students to take an active role in researching and providing information on the prevalence of diseases in the South Bronx. These include Asthma, Heart Disease, Diabetes, and Sexually Transmitted Infections. In addition to students informing their peers and community members about these diseases, professionals in the community also joined us to make connections with people and explain where they could go for treatment and advice for these diseases.
