Infrastructure is the economic engine that keeps New York safe and New Yorkers working. The cost savings proposed by cutting construction funding is a dangerous suggestion and a potential disaster for the people of New York City and beyond. Keep New York building and keep New York strong. #KeepNYBuilding https://www.agcnys.org///Keep-New-York-Building-Letter.pdf

NYSDOT this evening posted the allocations for the CHIPS, EWR and PAVE-NY Programs. You can access the allocations at this link: https://www.dot.ny.gov/programs/chips/chips-budget The Department indicates that, based on guidance from the Division of the Budget, these allocations may be subject to reductions of up to 20% based on the revenue/budgetary adjustments the Budget Director will make going forward in response to the budgetary and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pand...emic. We are further advised that information on the BRIDGE-NY Program is still being finalized. We appreciate the responsiveness of the Governor’s Office, Division of Budget and Department of Transportation to our urgent call to release these funds. It will allow critical local projects to advanceand New Yorkers to get back to work or avoid layoffs.
