Posted @withregram @uauworkforcedevelopment Did you see the YOUNGEST inaugural poet in US history at President Biden’s inauguration? Twenty-two year old Amanda Gorman spoke about healing & unity in her poem, The Hill We Climb. Amanda carried herself with absolute resiliency and leadership throughout her performance. The poet once struggled with public speaking because she was scared to perform of a speech impediment. Look at her now! Addressing an entire nation! Young p...eople like Amanda are proof that, There is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it; if only we’re brave enough to be it. Congratulations to our 46th President, Joe Biden, and Madam Vice President Kamala Harris. -Kamala Harris is the first woman, the first Black person, and the first South Asian American elected Vice President of the United States. -Kamla Harris will be the first Vice President to have graduated from a historically Black university, with a degree in political science and economics from Howard University. Watch the poet’s full performance and read more about it at the link in bio! #UAU #YouthEmpowerment #YouthVoices #Togetherness #Unity #YoungLeaders #WomenLeaders
