A Heathen's Touch

Imbolc is coming up on February 1st. Imbolc is the celebration of the first signs of spring (it might not seem like it here in CNY) and the return of the sun and longer days. Cathy Dornton, my wonderful herb supplier, has brought in some Bridey Doll kits. The kits are $13 and include the fabric, stuffing, eyes, ribbon, yarn, and a quartz crystal. The purpose of the doll is to set your intentions for the year. You can write down your intentions and put the paper inside the doll. You can use herbs, crystals, feathers, or anything that you want to represent your goals and sew them up inside. The doll can then be placed on your altar, in a place where you will see it every day, or placed outside as an offering for a fruitful year.

Just finished my first ionic foot detox. Warning: these pictures are GROSS! So this was a really neat experience. Even though an electric current is used, you really don't feel anything and crap just starts coming out of your feet.

I'll be doing a foot detox with Amy in a little bit. Pictures coming later on. She's charging $40 for a 30 min detox session. I'm so excited to try this out!!!
