I want to talk about Self Employed borrowers. Self Employed borrowers can be tricky to pre-approve. Being a Self Employed borrower allows you to take deductions from your gross income on your tax return. This will now reduce your gross income that your reporting and make your qualifying income lower then what you actually earned. By doing this most Self Employed borrowers can’t qualify for a pre-approval amount that they would like. ... But no need to worry! We have a bank statement program. This allows us to take the deposits into the borrowers business bank statements and use that to qualify as income. It will make the borrower have a higher pre-approval amount.
