Hopefully last job of the season. Thankful for the good weather we have had this fall. Spring will be here before we know it.
Opened a pool that hadn’t been opened in almost 3 years. Here are couple before and after pictures. Some chemicals, a little time and some hard work. Hard to believe it’s the same pool, liner and water.
Put a liner in a pool today that I spent over half my life swimming in. The pool that my kids learned to swim in. So many memories. Looks like a new pool.
A plea for patience! As many more retailers will be opening, I am asking consumers to have some patience and understanding. This unprecedented situation is causing chaos on so many levels. Take the swimming pool and spa industry for example. Since many people are afraid to travel, and many summer events like the fairs, concerts, festivals and others have been canceled, homeowners are investing in their own backyards. There is a much higher demand for pools, spas, chemicals, a...nd supplies than ever before. The other issue is that many manufacturers were shut down, or had to reduce staff, and now are way behind in production. Everyone in our industry is trying their best, but lead times on products can run a few days to months in some cases. It’s just a matter of the demand is much higher than what the supply chain can handle. I am not trying to be an alarmist, nor do I want people thinking this is a toilet paper situation, I just want to make people aware of what is happening. I have heard the same stories in other home products related industries as well. All I am asking is that when you call or visit your local pool or spa retailer, or any other retailer for that matter, please have a little patience and understanding if they tell you that they don’t have a particular product at the current time. I have been in this business well over 30 years, and have never seen anything like this before! Thank you for your time. See more
Just finished up an indoor pool. Kind of a unique situation. We dug our hole and put our walls up. Then we pulled out for a month or two while a contractor built the building. We then went back and poured our pool bottom, back filled and poured a stamped concrete patio. Again we pulled off job for a month allowing contractor time to finish the ceiling and hang cement board on the walls. Finally able to antique and seal concrete, install liner and start up pool. Checked with homeowner pool was 82 on Sunday/Funday.
