One of the common objections I hear when discussing life insurance with people in their 20's is that they don't feel that they need it. While the "need" may not be inherently visible, especially if you dont have kids or aren't married, I would strongly urge reconsidering that assumption. Life Insurance is a product that in my opinion is more valuable than any other type of insurance. We insure our cell phones, cars, apartments, and homes, which are things that can all be re...placed. Why wouldn't we insure ourselves? Specifically when in your 20's, life insurance is extremly affordable. It is a product that is based off your age and health history primarily, which for most people in their 20's is very good. You can also obtain a policy up to $250,000 with NO medical exam or physical for a couple of dollars a week. Just having a policy through work does NOT suffice. In the event you lose your job or retire, that policy does not carry over with you. If you wait until your 40's, 50's or 60's to obtain a policy, the rates are astronomical compared to what they would be in your 20's. It is never too late to start regarldess of age.
