Alfred Cultivation Crew

Hello all, we are the Alfred Cultivation Crew, and we are here to advocate for food justice for both Alfred state and Alfred U students, along with the Alfred community! Our mission is to practice and promote sustaining agricultural initiatives on campus. Focused projects will include: establishing and maintaining Alfred University gardens, green houses, composting sites, and future agricultural programs. We hope to cultivate sustaining yearly produce to share with and sell ...to students, staff, and the local Alfred community. If anyone would like to get involved, our first meeting will be held Thursday March 17th, at 5:30pm at the environmental house (across from the Wellness Center). The meeting will include: a brief meet and greet for all members, explanation of why we decided to form the club, a run down of our constitution, inquiring a preferred meeting time for future club meetings, planning/scheduling of our first project (creating more garden plots at the ens house), and discussing ideas for future projects. Hey y'all!!! We're inching closer and closer to the new semester, be sure to check out our stand at the farmer's market when it begins! Every week we'll be selling some dank produce and promoting sustainable farming! Stay tuned for more announcements when we decide the meeting schedule for the fall semester, as well as any work shops that we're cooking up.
