One of the blessings this year has been in creating a partnership with our hometown theater La Jolla Playhouse and Blindspot Collective as they take action in amplifying the Black experience. - We are proud to have written a mini-musical for Episode 4 of their free digital series #WalksOfLife. Our mini musical is called, THE PIANO and sis performed by Kevin Blax Burroughs, Aja Downing, and Kiana Bell. Introducing our final guest for Monday night, Sam Sultan! We’re excited to share his music on our New Voices Concert via Facebook (link in bio) Sam Sultan (He/him) is a NY-based composer, performer, and teaching artist. He is the creator of Summit: The Only Musical With Diplomatic Immunity (Premiere 2014, Voices Studios) and Saint Stephen & the Children’s Crusade. (Apples And Oranges THEatre ACCELERATOR Spring 2020 Cohort) Sam’s second album of original songs, Travelin’ Hear...t, is being released in October 2020 and his first album, Skystruck, is available on all streaming platforms. Recent credits as as music director include Spring Awakening, (Vanguard Theater Company) and Runaways (Helen Hayes Youth Theatre.) Today we're excited to introduce you to . , one of the very talented writers being featured Monday night at 8pm (ET) right here on our FB Page! ----- Ryan M. Luévano is a composer, conductor, playwright, professor of music and theatre critic in the greater Los Angeles area. He’s worked as a professor of music at Woodbury University, Santa Ana College and Rio Hondo College. He is also a regular teaching artist at A Noise Within Theatre Company in Pasadena and a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America. Musicals include: Shoot Ma!, Experience Magic! and 57 Bus. Plays include Passing Time and Love is Dead. Most recently he was accepted as Artists-in-Residence at Chateau d’Orquevaux in France for summer 2021, and was awarded the Denis Diderot Grant for his work on the musical 57 Bus.

Monday, 8pm (ET) on Facebook (link in bio) Jye Bryant is a Sydney-based, Australian Musical Theatre Composer, Lyricist, Producer and Author with a passion for Theatre, Education and Social Justice. Using a combination of witty lyrics and hummable melodies, his work aims to inspire positive social change through a unique blend of entertainment and education. Jye Bryant’s compositions are pe...rformed regularly on cabaret circuits, where he has gained popularity as the composer of choice for many high profile international artists. In 2018, Jye released his book, Writing & Staging A New Musical - A Handbook, aimed at supporting writers and producers to get their work out into the theatre world. Although Jye Bryant trained as a Secondary School Music Teacher, he has spent most of his adult life as a Youth Worker and Adult Educator using his diverse skill set to better the lives of children and young people. Some of his work to date includes: The Things I Could Never Tell Steven (2015, 2017, 2018 & 2019), In God We Crust (2019), Sempre Libera (2019), The Oldest Profession (2016), The Velveteen Rabbit (2013), In Bed With Jye (& Friends) (2012), Rainbow Tears (2007), Aladdin Goes To Africa (2007), Peter Pan (2006), Cinderella Meets Her Prince (2005), Sleeping Beautifully (2004) and many more.
