Bowling is underway! We are still only open for league bowlers and so far things are going very well. Just a few hiccups getting open and ready. I have Attached is an article showing how serious the New York State is being enforcing the Covid rules. There are 217 liquor licenses that have been suspended or revolked the latest of which is in geneva. We have to make sure we keep following the guidelines. Again we really want to thank everyone for following the NYS guidelines and being patient with our staff during this time. Remember we are all in this together.

Okay so here are the updates. COVID SUCKS! As of right now we are only going to be open for the leagues and leagues only on Wednesday ,Thursday, and Friday. This is mainly because of occupancy restrictions and harsh regulations on indoor dining/bar patrons. Since we are just reopening we want to get a handle on all of these regulations before we open up any more days. We will have a limited "Corona Virus" menu serving pizza, wings, fried foods and some but not all of our sta...ndard menu until we can fully open up. All three regular leagues have openings as follows. We thank you again for your patience and remember we are all in this together . Bowling starts on September 16 next week. If anyone would like to bowl, has a team, or know someone that has a team and would like to get in please call 315-483-0810 or message us here. Thank you Wednesday night we have been forced to go down to (4) man teams and we have (8) teams. We have room for (4) more teams Thursday night women league we have been forced to go down to (4) woman teams and we have (7) teams. We have room for (5) more teams Friday night we have been forced to go down to (4) man teams and we have (7) teams. We have room for (5) more teams

League Meetings are all this week. Obviosly there are a lot of things to go over considering COVID 19 and the new rules not only of the Alley itself but USBC rules . All team members are welcome . If your team can not make it please have a representative of your team there. Wednesday 9/2/2020 at 7:00 pm at the Alley. We need a couple of teams. Right now the teams are 5 person teams . Can be a mix of men and women , all women, or all men. Thursday 9/3/2020 at 7:00 pm at the... Alley. Womens league has plenty of room for teams. Teams are 4 women per team. Friday 9/4/2020 at 7:00 pm. We need a couple of teams. Teams are 4 person teams . Can be a mix of men and women , all women, or all men. As of right now we are opening for the Leagues only until New York State lifts the current restrictions that are in place. As of right now We are only allowed to operate at 50% capacity including employees. That is a maximum of 70 people in the Alley and bar at all times. Unfortunately with the restrictions that are in place this is what has to be done for us to open up and operate. We are very sorry for the inconvience for right now but as things evolve we will keep you updated. Thank you all again for your patience.

Okay here is the latest on bowling. Per the governors executive order we are allowed to open as I have said in the last post. We have decided to open a week later than I originally thought due to certain restrictions and allowing us to get the alley ready to make everyone’s experience as fun and as safe as possible during this crazy time. The week of September 14 we will be opening for leagues and on a limited basis. The presidents and secretaries of the leagues will be getting in touch with the league captains to have a meeting set up for there respected night. As I have stated before there are a lot of restrictions and they will be explained at the meetings and again at the beginning of every league. Thank you in advance for your patience as things are changing daily.

Okay so we are starting to work through all of this. Leagues will be starting on schedule as always the week of Labor Day. There are plenty of restrictions and we are in need of Bowlers. I am going to a meeting with several other bowling alleys to talk to Assemblyman Manktelow and possibly Senator Helming to express our concerns with the restrictions that are being forced upon us. We may have to get creative with how we operate so please be patient. Wednesday night may be go...ing to 4 person teams unless we come up with a few bowlers . Also need one full team. Thursday night womens league needs teams and bowlers. Friday night needs some teams and bowlers. If anyone would like to bowl or knows of someone that does please feel free to contact us on this page or call and leave a message at 315-483-0810 and we will get back to you. I will post updates as they come available.

Okay so I have been receiving a lot of calls and the rumors are true. We are able to open! Finally. Of course with restrictions . We will be getting in touch with all the leagues to work with them and to formulate a plan so as to make everyones bowling experience as safe and as fun as we can. Again we are all in this together so please be patient and keep in mind whatever restrictions that are in effect are not our fault and we need to adhere strictly to the regulations. I will post updates as we get closer. We can’t wait to see all our bowling friends and family. See you soon

So just received a call from someone that asked me if we were closed permanently. Rest assured we are not closed permanently. Once New York State figures out how and when we can open we will be opening. The bar in the summertime is generally slower so we have not called everyone back to work as of right now. Every month we will reassess as the details are released at the state level. On a different note ,Please remember to frequent the local business’s that are open in our area because we are all in this together. Every business owner has employees and /or family and they need our help to stay afloat in these trying times. As always we will see you at the alley (when they allow us to )

I hope everyone is staying safe and doing their part to get rid of this COVID crap. Just an update on our operations, as of right now we will still remain closed at the Alley. We are not going to rush back as some are doing. Until the State government and our illustious Governor (Dictator) figure out EXACTLY what they want from us, the hard working honest businesses in our state, we are not willing to risk opening. I am seeing and hearing of businesses getting fined and losi...ng liquor licenses because of patrons and or employees not following the rules set in place. And don't be fooled these rules are extensive and are changing almost on a daily basis. It is hard enough to do business here in New York but it almost seems like we ,the business owners of New York State, are the bad guys and threatening us to lose our Liquor license because of something we can not control is ridiculous . At this point the risk out weighs the reward for us. PLEASE if you do go to a bar or restaurant follow the rules that are being set up at each place. These business owners are not making up these rules our Governor is. It is not their fault so be patient with the owners and staff. if you can't or won't follow the rules just stay home until this all passes. As I said it is so hard to get a liquor license or food license don't ruin it for the businesses. See more

I have to apologize to every one of our bowlers and patrons. I have not updated anything nor have I done my due diligence to all of our supporters. We want to both especially thank all of our bowlers for their support throughout the year and generosity at the end of the season. With 4 weeks left in our season we like many other small business's were forced to close abruptly because of the COVID-19 Crisis. Trying to figure everything out we had a meeting with all the leagues ...and they voted unanimously to pay the Alley through the rest of the season with the prize money from each team for the weeks left. This literally humbled Jimmy and myself immediately and made us realize at that moment that we have without a doubt the best and most sincere patrons and bowlers. From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say thank you to everyone at the Alley. We are in all likelihood be closed through the summer and hopefully will be able to open up in September as long as things get back up and running throughout the state and things can be safe for everyone. We hope everyone is staying safe. See more

Because of the COVID-19 Crisis the way it looks now we will be shut down for some time as everyone is aware. As we are all going through this please just rememb...er that this needs to be a communal effort.Life will get back to normal and this virus has no friends and affects all of us. No one is immune. Please try to follow the guidelines the CDC has set for all of us. It is just a couple of weeks for the rest of our lives. Just because a person is young does not mean you can't be a carrier or infect someone else. Less travel unless necessary, stay at home unless you have to work, anything that is not absolutely necessary. We at the alley feel horrible for all those affected whether it is the employees we had to lay off or others that have either been laid off or lost their jobs because of this. Please help your neighbors , friends, and fellow citizens in any way possible. The elderly especially need our help more than anyone at this time. If you are in a store HELP them. Let them get the last of something on a shelf if you can. Don't hoard anything, the stores will restock as long as no one panics. Please be patient with the clerks and the stock people. This situation is not their fault or anyone's fault. And Lastly PLEASE help our local business's by supporting them if they were deemed "essential" and are trying to stay open. Whether it be the grocery store, hardware store, pizza shops, restaurants anything in the area that is still open. God Bless and Please stay safe. See more

Update #3: After our meeting tonight addressing the corona virus situation the leagues and the alley have decided as a group to put our season on hold for two weeks. The alley will be completely shut down during this time with open bowling , bar or food service. If after two weeks we are not able to finish the leagues and open up we will be calling the season and awarding standings for the leagues as they are right now. We at the alley are committed to helping keep our community safe in these trying times and are doing everything that is asked on our state and local levels . We hope and pray that this is just a temporary situation again for not only our employees but for all small businesses and all employees across our country. Please try to help your neighbors in these troubled times.

Update #2: After calling the Governors office, the department of health at the state level and then the department of health at the local level and a lot of confusion on what our illustrious confused Leader Governor Cuomo I have found out that we are in a grey area. We will be limiting our establishment to under 50 people . The Sale of food or alcohol will be sold as "take out" only. The meeting will be going on as scheduled tonight and we will be going over how to comply with our bigger leagues and finishing the season unless New York State decides to shut us down in the coming weeks. Thank you again for your patience.

The Alley Sports Bar 10.06.2020

Corona virus Update: To comply with governor Cuomo’s directive today we will be shutting down all of our operation effective at 8 pm tonight. That is bowling /bar /and food sales. We will keep everyone informed in the coming days/weeks as to what will be happening moving forward. Again please pray for all of those affected . Thank you

The Alley Sports Bar 08.06.2020

Because of the COVID-19 crisis going on in our country we are required to limit people in our facility so as to help stop the spread of the virus. So as of right now we will be open in the bar with our normal hours . During the week we will not have any open bowling while we are all going through this. We are working with our bigger leagues to come up with a solution to finish out our season. We want to thank you in advance for your patience during this situation and remember let’s all be good neighbors and citizens and pray for all the people that not only have the virus but also people that do not necessarily have the virus but are impacted by the financial hit because of not being able to go to their jobs and work as well. Thank you
