Some people think working at an animal hospital is just snuggling puppies and kittens all day......

Bazinga suffered a knee injury jumping off the couch to chase a toy. Her left ACL (called Cranial Cruciate Ligament in dogs) was ruptured and there was damage to the meniscus, the cartilage cushion in the knee. The poor thing couldn’t even put weight on her foot! Sweet Bitty had surgery this week to stabilize her damaged knee and remove the torn cartilage. She’s undergoing a rigorous program of physical therapy, acupuncture and laser treatments. These will help speed her recovery so she’s back chasing toys in no time. We love you Bazinga! You have been so brave! I will update on her progress as she continues to heal. Jane (Dogmom)

Last, but certainly not least, Renee! Renee is our reproduction guru! She’s an experienced breeder of champion Bloodhounds that can also find you if you ever get lost! Border Terriers have recently entered her life and little Nooks helps keep the hounds entertained!! Renee has helped make our reproductive services top notch and all our breeder clients ask for her by name. Thank you for all you do Renee!!

Haylie and Linkin! What better way to enjoy being a veterinary technician than puppy time!!! Haylie joined Alliance in 2018. She attended the Vet Tech program at Medaille and obtained her bachelors degree and went on to pass her licensing exam. Haylie is so sweet and smart and always has a smile on her face. Thank you Haylie for all you do for our clients and patients!!

Here’s Heather! What a talented and caring Veterinary Technician Heather is. She is our cat whisperer. Heather is another of our vet techs that stayed working during the early and most difficult stage of the Covid-19 outbreak. It wasn’t easy doing everything over the phone and curbside, but Heather stayed strong and helped our clients and patients like a champion! Thank you Heather for all you do!

Today we celebrate Laura or Lou as she is known by most! Lou joined Alliance in 2019. She has been such a delightful addition to our team. If you look up people person in the dictionary I’m pretty sure you will see a picture of Lou! What a personality on this woman. She is a skilled veterinary technician as well as the surgical scheduling coordinator. Thank you Lou for all of your hard work and dedication

Veterinary Technician extraordinaire Ginny! Ginny is hard working mother of a 3 year old beautiful girl and an adorable baby boy. Ginny started at Alliance in 2016. She not only has been a laboratory tech, dental hygienist, surgical tech, phlebotomist, pharmacist, record keeper (I’m forgetting 10 more things) but she has also done an amazing job managing our inventory. Ginny you are one of a kind and we all appreciate you so much!

Not only are we celebrating Veterinary Technicians week with the lovely and talented Kayla, but we are also celebrating her 3 year anniversary at Alliance today! Kayla is the queen of multitasking! When we were curbside a few months back, she would answer the phone, check in her patient, retrieve her patient, treat her patient, call out to the pet parents with an update, and return the patient to the vehicle. Truly a talented and dedicated LVT. Thank you Kayla for all you do!

For those of you that may not already know this amazing Veterinary Technician, her name is Charleen. Char joined the practice in 2017. She has recently been promoted to Lead Vet Tech for displaying exceptional leadership qualities! Char helps steer the ship and makes sure there is appropriate staff to meet the needs of all of you and your fur babies!! Thank you Char for all your hard work!
