Allied JOAD

Good Morning All and thank you for all your support during the difficult times this past year and Many thanks to those who helped keep the program running, and all the kids that showed up to shoot. We will be on our usual summer vacation for the month of August, but we will restart back up the Saturday following Labor Day. Signups will no longer be required, and for now we will be starting with one (1) line starting at 9am. If we get sufficient participation with will retur...n to two (2) lines. Have a great rest of your summer!

JOAD is cancelled for April 17th, as there is a conflict with an event at the club. We will resume the following weekend. Thank you!

Opening of Joad Saturday October 10th Recently a meeting was held with the instructors of the JOAD program. JOAD is not starting tomorrow, 10/3- stay tuned to your emails for updates- there will be an email sent by Monday, if not beforehand. At this time, no new shooters will be able to participate, as our time slots will be limited and open to current participants only at this time. As the situation remains fluid, we will adjust as needed and this could change in the future. Again, please check your email for updates. We appreciate your patience and cooperation!

Just an update: With everything going on, combined with the fact that JOAD would not be in session from mid July through August as per our usual summer break, the rest of the current JOAD season is cancelled with the hopes to renew in September. We will keep everyone posted as a targeted return date would be Saturday, September 12th.

JOAD NATIONALS CANCELLED

Right now the possibility would be for us to shoot an American 900 round and combine it with the senior games. We would have an A, B and C line with 3 people o...n each target. 60 yds Saturday morning lunch break 50 yds Saturday afternoon and the 40 yds on Sunday starting at 8AM. Bowman, Cubs and yeoman would shoot closer distances. It would be free to all US Archery and NFAA members and the Senior game participants would pay to shoot so their score would count as a qualifying round. If they are also a US Archery or NFAA member it will count for both. There is plenty of room at the inns so booking wouldn’t be a problem. I think it would be a fun shoot for all and their would be no pressure for anyone to shoot. How’s that idea? See more

Due to the regulations and demands that Governor Cuomo has placed on us to hold a state tournament the NYSAA board has decided that it could not meet many of t...he requirements with the amount of volunteers needed to accomplish for our outdoor shoot. We held out as long as possible to make this decision but to no avail we felt we could not carry out such a large task. So with a heavy heart we have to cancel the outdoor state shoot. We will be looking forward to holding the indoor state shoots in the winter of 2021. God willing. See more
