We need your help! Momma is one of our senior dogs that has been on our training wheels program for over 5 years. We received a devastating phone call from her owners that she was hit by a car. Almost home volunteers with out hesitation ran to get her and brought her to the vet immediately. Unfortunately Momma has a broken leg with internal bruising Please donate today towards Mommas vet bills so we can continue providing low income households with free vet care. No amount is to small and everyone at Almost Home would be extremely grateful.

Meet Sage! Sage is a 8 month old, female, spayed, american staffordshire terrier, weighing 30lbs. This petite little lady came to us from a local municipal shelter where she had been held as evidence for several months as part of a cruelty case. Sage has spent the majority of her young life in the shelter system and would love nothing more to find a real home to call her own! Sage is a sweet and loving dog who will instantly steal your heart with her playful and affectio...nate personality. She great with all people and enjoys the company of children as well. Sage is an active girl who enjoys walks, playing outdoors and even the beach! Although Sage is social with other dogs we feel she might be best suited as the only pet. From heartbreak to home life Do you remember major? He came from a hoarding & neglect case in oakdale NY mid September. Concerned neighbors had made multiple complaints and voiced their concerns until finally the animals were removed. The few that were fortunate to hold on long enough for help were sent to the town shelter for holding where major was pulled and joined the Almost Home family! Among many health concerns for 10 year old major, he needed to have multiple mas...ses removed, extensive bloodwork and xrays to check for the dreaded C word. You know who won’t be adding to the over population of pets? Me, Trauma! Today Almost Home came to my house and transported me to a veterinarians office where I will be examined, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Craziest part is they did this all at NO COST to my family, all to help me on a path to a long, healthy life. Almosthomeli.org

Rocky is a 3 year old Lab Mix. He is different then most labs, Rocky has three legs. He was hit by a car a couple years ago and lost one of his back legs, but you would never know! Rocky is an active dog, runs, jumps, and loves to play. Rocky would do best in a home with another dog.
