Global cooling? It’d be nice to think that the one winner in this economic shutdown would be the environment. This morning an overheated earth gave us a big ole’ Thank You!!!
Here's Grant with a 6 1/4 pound brown caught trolling last week.
Here’s a nice trout caught from shore today at Pepacton. 26 5lb 6oz. So far this week the shore fishing has out produced the guys fishing from boats. A lot of fish seem to be hanging near the streams running into the reservoir.
Staying home would be easier in a comfy chair! Poly Amish made Adirondack chairs $229 for folding, $199 non folding. Double settee $419 swivel glider $379.
The heaviest trout so far this year was Tom’s 11lb 5oz brown caught Saturday morning. Raymond had a 5lb 11oz trout and Bryan’s weighed in at 6lb. 4oz. All caught on bait from a boat. The shore fishing is still pretty good using spinners, spoons and bait. The bass are moving in toward shore to spawn. Had a few reports of people catching them from shore over the weekend.
Today was opening day of trout season in New York and one of the nicer catches we saw was this 26 brown caught in Pepacton Reservoir from shore.

Anyone who’s wondering about the ice on Pepacton here’s your answer. Taken today 3/8/20. There is ice 15 miles up by the bridge but it’s looking likely that it will be ice free by April 1.
A sure sign of spring! We just received a fresh batch of kayaks for the upcoming season. The seats and storage compartments on these kayaks are the best we’ve seen on a recreational kayak. Can’t wait to try them out!
