ALS of Utica would like to extend a huge thank you to Paul and Julie Appley for a $2000 donation from a mini fundraiser they put together in honor of Paul Appley who is battling ALS. Special thanks also goes out to Emily Sowers, Josh & Megan Appley, and Bob Sherlund. COVID may have stopped our fundraising events but it’s amazing gifts like this that will keep us going. ALS Golf & Walk canceled - so sorry! We write this with deep regret. Due to the coronavirus, we have no choice but to cancel this year’s ALS Golf Tournament and newly reinstated walk slated for June 7, 2020. The health and safety of all participants is paramount to us. ... We will not only not have enough time to prepare for the event but we also depend heavily on businesses and restaurant donations to make our event a success and we simply can’t ask for donations when so many businesses are hurting at this time. As soon as the ban lifts, we will be returning all checks and issuing credits for the payments we’ve received. It is our hope that our sponsors, supporters, golfers, walkers and families will join us next year. We wish everyone health and safety as we move though this very uncertain time.
