Did you know that you can borrow up to five items per month for free from hoopla digital with your Altamont Free Library card. Those could be ebooks, digital audiobooks, movies, comics, or television episodes. So here's a pro tip for a cold weekend: Since it's the end of the month, it's a great time to start binge watching a new TV show. Borrow five episodes today and you'll get to borrow the next five on the first of the month! (Season one of The Librarians, anyone?)

Did you know that the Upper Hudson Library System offers online classes? They do! Coming up next Thursday 2/4 at 7pm, you're invited to join presenter Nate Heyer for an interactive virtual class on using Google Tools to aid your job search. Whether you want to work in advertising or zoology (or anything alphabetically in between), everyone can use some help in finding their next job. Let Nate and Google help!

Please join us this evening at 6pm in Orsini Park for a socially-distant memorial ceremony for our our community’s loved ones, followed by the lighting of the Orsini Park gazebo. Please arrive on time, maintain respectful silence during the reading of names, and wear a mask. See you in the park!

It’s almost time to light up the gazebo! Just a few more days to get you submissions in to honor the memory of a friend, loved one, or pet with a light on the Altamont Village Gazebo in Orsini Park. The lights cost $5.00 each and all proceeds benefit the Altamont Free Library. The honorees names will be read during the annual lighting ceremony on Friday, December 11th at 6pm, and be published on the library’s website. Forms are available in the library’s entryway, in this week’s edition of the Altamont Enterprise, and on our website at https://bit.my/3fhzEpu . Please join us at the gazebo with this Friday, December 11th at 6pm for what is always a lovely and moving (masked-up and socially distant) ceremony.
