Roadblocks & hurdles.
Receiving a first review of your novel is always a big moment. When the novel is as beautifully rendered as Seasons in Hippoland by Wanjiku Wa Ngugi it's an occasion to celebrate!. Congratulations.

My publisher, sharing her inspiring and enlightening life story in books.
Next Tuesday, July 20th, the IBW Legacy Group (Institute of the Black World) commences with Session 3 of the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Another timely conver...sation topic: "Remaking the Past to Make the Future: The New Black History." Amazing featured guests and, as always, a great deal of wisdom in the room among participants. Free registration! (Hosted in partnership with PeoplesHub, which is how I'm blessedly involved.) See more
Exciting to see a new book publishing business with some muscle to start.

Stanley Crouch. His absence from the scene will be huge. I'll miss his writing on music the most. Met him a number of times, (he never seemed to remember me). My best story about him is short. At a fab book party for Albert Murray. Wynton Marsalis, et all performed. I'm standing alone when Crouch steps to me and says, "You Ethiopian or something?" Me: "No. I'm from Knoxville, TN." He promptly walks away. Perfect.
Writer critic Stanley Crouch has transcended. If you aren't familiar with his work and his legend. lol. Now is a great time to check him out and/or revisit his work. He was at his best in my opinion, when he wrote about music.
New works of delicious drama, including Forest Jones, an ALT client. Congrats to him. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F3HLH67/ref=sr_1_1
The sound was like living in a war zone. Watching the lights from the comfort of home tho.
Leaders of the tribe.
The first step to the publishing community solving a problem is to acknowledge that you have one. The next step is asking those who suffer from the problem what we need.
