Aenon Missionary Baptist Church along with many other churches statewide doors have been closed to traditional church service since mid-March 2020. Pastor Jonathan McReynolds and Aenon’s Leadership during that time fostered various ways for the congregation to virtually receive the Word as well as various ways to fellowship while wearing masks and by practicing social-distancing. These various ways of worship include: Drive-thru Service, Outdoor Worship, Solidarity Sundays,... and a visit from NYS Attorney General, Letitia James. Ministries also sponsored the first annual, Drive-by Graduates Celebration, Drive-by Birthday Celebration for our M & M’s (McReynolds and Miller), Community Appreciation Celebration for Pastor McReynolds, and finally our 97th Church Anniversary scheduled for November 7th and 8th, 2020. Some of our young Ministers and members also held a couple of impromptu fellowships in the parking lot. All were invited. There has also been services such as food box give-a-ways, mammograms (breast cancer awareness), flu shots, Covid-19 testing, census taking, voter registration, etc. Whew! Aenon has been busy.
