Veterans BBQ Event
American Legion Post 269, July 10, 2021 Post Officers Installation Ceremony and Dinner.
The July Membership meeting will be held Monday July 12 starting promptly at 8 PM. Members are encouraged to attend.
Although there is no parade again this year, we can still celebrate the July 4th Independence Day. There will be a ceremony at the Four Corners ( Main Street and Ocean Avenue ) in Patchogue at 1 PM. Members should meet there between 12:30 and 12:45. After the ceremony we will go back to the Post.
Tonight at 7:30 PM we will be having the American Legion funeral ceremony for Pauline King at Robertaccio Funeral Home in Patchogue. The family has changed the times on the Friday service from 10 AM to 9:30 AM followed by burial in Calverton National Cemetery.
The American Legion ceremony for Pauline King will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday July 1 at Robertaccio Funeral Home, Inc.. Visitation is 7-9 PM Wednesday June 30, and 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Thursday July 1. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10 AM Friday July 2nd at Robertaccio followed by burial at Calverton National Cemetery.
It's with a Heavy Heart, I must inform everyone that Pauline Vanderbilt King has died but will live forever in our hearts! She Faced her Illness Bravely. Arrangements are still being worked out & will be posted when available!
Today the American Legion Patchogue Post 269, along with VFW Post-2913 and Amvets Post 111 - Patchogue L.I. N.Y. performed the Flag Retirement Ceremony. We would like to thank the Patchogue Village and the Department of Public Works for their great help and support. We would also like to thank the Patchogue Fire Department and the Patchogue Ambulance Company for being there and helping make this a success.
Memorial Day Ceremony
The Memorial Day Ceremony will be held starting at 11 AM on Monday May 31. It will be held at the American Legion Post 269. The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce will have a live stream of the event. Although there is no parade this year, we can still honor those who died in service to our Nation.
American Legion Patchogue Post 269, along with VFW Post 2913 and Amvets Post 111 placing flags at the graves of Veterans in the local cemeteries.
US Flag notification: The US Flag is to be flown at half-staff until sunset Sunday May 30 in respect of the victims in San Jose.
The Executive Board Meeting scheduled for tonight, Monday February 1, is cancelled due to the snow. Stay safe and be careful when shoveling the snow!
Our new Electronic Sign for the Post
On October 4,2020 Honor Flight of Long Island Honored Bill Schlosser a WWll Army Veteran on his 96th Birthday at his home. Bill is a member of the Post.
The Post gets a new look outside. Our new electronic sign was installed this morning!
Information for the 9-11 Ceremony
This Independence Day will be like no other that we have experienced. Please remember to follow all the health and safety guidance. While we celebrate our Independence please stay safe and healthy!
As we enter the phase 3 of re-opening, the Dugout will only be open on Friday evenings from 7 PM to 11 PM. We are planning to also be open on Sundays sometime in late July.
