Operation Enduring Care personal hygiene and comfort care packs for our veterans.

I am very proud and happy to be able to reach the final installation of the televisions for Community Living Center 4 at the VA Medical Center at Northport, New... York. The project consisted of 32 new televisions to upgrade or replace televisions for both Hospice and Rehabilitation patients. Each television is 32 inches and up to date to provide an improved atmosphere for the veterans served. The Hospital Administration and Staff has worked with us to install the televisions to up to date codes and safety guidelines. I wish to thank all of our donors for their donations. I also wish to thank our American Legion Post #1244, Greenlawn, New York 11740 for assisting me with the ongoing project. For all the combined support and efforts, I am grateful. See more

Operation Enduring Care will be placing donations to our veterans in need within these bags. Each bag will contain a blanket, gallon freezer bag with hygiene... items and a bag with new socks, underwear as well as tee shirts. Each bag will be labeled as to size. All items are donated. Those willing to assist a veteran, are invited to donate through our website at: post1244.org/operationenduringcare. A $10.00 donation will provide a hygiene packet or underwear. Donations are combined to acquire blankets, sweatshirts and winter wear. See more

Did you know that a $10.00 dollar donation through Operation Enduring Care, will provide a veteran in need with a toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, shaving c...ream, disposable razors and shampoo? Theses items are needed not only by those veterans in danger of being homeless but our inpatients at the VA Medical Center. See more
