Great program for kids and parents. The 60-minute special "Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Families" will air on Saturday, June 6, at 10 a.m. on CNN. https://www.cnn.com//sesame-racism-town-hall-ho/index.html
The current events in our country involving race and racism can be troubling for grown-ups, and especially for our young children. There are some topics that are difficult to discuss with kids and some feel it is best to avoid the conversation. Not talking about this issue is worse! Please remember that children learn by example. The better their foundation, the more armed they are with a good moral compass. Below is a fantastic resource for guiding parents through this discussion. https://www.npr.org//716/talking-race-with-young-children
See you later ali-GATOR! Not our typical moving up day, but we were very excited to see your faces this morning. Have a great summer!
Since knowing which day of the week is no longer a thing, here is our #tbt. Here is board Co-chair Mckenzie Kukulka as an ANS student. Her knee position is EVERYTHING.
