The Northtown Center will re-open tomorrow (Monday, 11/23). For how long we don’t know. We are back to the same protocol that was in place prior to the closing last week. As a reminder: We are limited to 25 on ice participants. No spectators. Locker rooms are available for team use and there will be (2) rooms for each team. Novice, Micron and Mite need to follow the skate tying guidance and procedures.... AYH needs 100% compliance with the COVID protocols. Masks are mandatory for all coaches the entire time in the facility, this includes on the ice. Absolutely no scrimmages nor any competitive type drills during practice. (NYS Go forward plan, Governor’s directive) Players may bring in their bags and get dressed in the locker rooms. Two locker rooms will be provided for each team, the coach will be responsible for splitting the skaters equally per room. No showers as prompt departure is required to sanitize for next group Team arrival 20 minutes prior to scheduled ice time and come in assigned entrance If your ice is on Feature or Olympic, please enter through the east entrance (flagpole) If your ice is on Rink #1 or #2, please enter through the west entrance (hotel side) Players MUST stay in locker rooms until ice is ready, no hanging out in the hallways Anyone who has any COVID symptoms, feels ill, or thinks that have come in contact with anyone that exhibits any of this is asked to stay home. Follow the AYH COVID protocol. See more

The Amherst Knights Bantam Minor AA Hockey team have organized a food drive to help the poor, needy and less fortunate. In dealing with Covid 19, many people in our local communities, nations, and around the world are enduring very rough times. We thought this would be a great help to our local community in need and a great opportunity to serve. When better than Thanksgiving to share with those is Need. Extraordinary times call for Extraordinary actions! We are partnering wi...th Hearts for the Homeless for food collection and distribution. Here is a link created for us to share via social media, email ect.. https://heartsforthehomeless.kindful.com/?campaign=1092879 The food drive is to take place on Sat Nov 21st from 1230-3pm pm at the Northtown center at Amherst West parking lot. We will be collecting the food items via drive up and drop off. The boys will help unload , then load into trucks which we will then deliver to Hearts for the Homeless food pantry. If your unable to be there this Saturday and would still like to participate, use the link to donate any amount. Hearts will then use these funds to purchase food items needed to serve the homeless and needy. Please join us on Sat November 21st. Thanks!
