Please join us and support our cause by writing our Senators and Representatives today. Click here to send your email now! https://www.nivassoc.org/take-action www.nivassoc.org Follow the link to TAKE ACTION !! Together with you we have played a role in bringing our city to life and furthering the careers of countless artists. Now independent venues like ours are at risk, and we need you to tell our Senators and Representatives how important VENUE is to you and YOUR CITY. When this crisis began, independent music venues were the first to close, and we will be the last to open. While completely shuttered we have no revenue, our employees and artists are without jobs, and normal bills keep coming, regardless. We have joined the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), a group of more than 1,200 independent music venues and promoters in all 50 states, to collectively urge Congress to help protect our industry by providing the financial support that is necessary for us to survive the shutdown and reopen once again. Please join us and support our cause by calling and writing our Senators and Representatives today. It will only take 60 seconds: Take Action NIVA Yell it, scream it, clap your hands, and pound your feet like you’re calling the band back for an encore! Please help us ensure we survive by using your voice now (and tell a friend or 100 friends!). #SaveOurStages Congressman Joe Morelle Senator Chuck Schumer Rich Funke Joe Robach Monroe County Executive Adam J. Well Fighters and Camps I have held off as long as I can on the May 9th show. I was hoping we would see a lift on the concerns and closures. UNFORTUNATELY IT D...OES NOT LOOK LIKE WE WILL BE IN A PLACE TO MOVE FORWARD. Three major factors that remain unknown has led me to this decision. 1- Spread of virus at time of show still a concern and peoples health being put at risk. 2- Restrictions still in place after we move forward with extensive time and expenditure of funds only to NOT be able to hold the event. 3- Concern that if everything cleared up in the next couple weeks (Which I Find Unlikely) with gyms being closed for this long I would have Fighters coming in lacking solid camps and preparation. That concerns me greatly because I feel that would lead to unnecessary injuries. So I plan on rescheduling the event and promise to honor all match ups for those who want to still be on the card. I will not put a date to reschedule as of yet, we will wait until we have a better grip on the health and welfare of the nation. I will say I will look to a late June, July or early August framework. It all depends on this Bitch Covid 19 and how hard she keeps fighting. But we will overcome and come out tougher in the end. Be safe and healthy everyone. Take care yourselves. I will keep everyone posted as things develope from here forward.
