Our Senior Spotlight today is on our graduating senior Sophia Gizzi! Sophia has grown up at Andrea’s Dance Studio and has always had a natural gift for dance! From a young age we knew she was going to do great things and we are so proud of the well rounded young lady she has become. Sophia is not only a senior company member but has become one of our sought after choreographers for her fellow team members! She will be missed by all but as always this is not goodbye. She will always be a part of our dance family and we can’t wait to see what her future holds! We love you! For those of you who don’t know the backstory, our director Nicole took over Andrea's Dance Studio 6 years ago from her longtime teacher, boss, mentor, and friend Andrea Verdeschi. Andrea owned Andrea's Dance Studio for 55 years when she finally felt ready to retire and pass on her studio. Nicole had the honor and privilege to continue her legacy. Nicole was a teacher and dancer of Andrea's Dance Studio for many years. When she took over, she made the decision to keep the nam...e until she could establish herself as the director and owner. This has been a 6 year thought process, & after speaking with Miss Andrea and receiving her blessing, Nicole feels ready to open back up under a new studio name that she can continue to grow as her own brand. We will be ending this dance season June 27th, 2020 as Andrea's Dance Studio and starting our next season as: City Stage Dance Academy !!!! We are so excited to continue to grow both locations under this new name! It is a fresh start after an intense year for all. We will be opening our Morris Park Studio back up in a brand new location!!!! We will continue to grow our Arthur Ave studio at its same amazing location!!!! Nicole would like to ensure all of our loyal customers that this is not a change in studio management, just a change of name! Our wonderful staff will remain the same, as well as our family oriented atmosphere. With that being said, we will also be adding new and exciting elements to our studio that will continue our ongoing growth in the dance industry! Our Senior Spotlight is on graduating senior Alex DiCosola today! Alex has been part of our studio since she was 3 years old! We all watched her grow up from a shy little girl to a star on the stage! She has been an elite member on our competition team for as long as we can remember. Her turns, tricks and Sass always made her shine!
