Are you running the half or full marathon at the MVP Health Care Rochester Marathon, next weekend? This is it! With less than 10 days to go, don't get too antsy in your taper. You've earned this time! As a runner, and long-time employee at Fleet Feet, I understand the soreness and injuries associated with running these distances.. I prefer trail marathons, however! Now is the time to think about your recovery! You will be sore (quite sore) for at least a few days. After the r...ace, stop off at the Fleet Feet Sports Rochester "Recovery Zone" for a nice stretch and massage. Until October 31, ANY participant - finisher or not! - of the half or full marathon will receive $10 off of (1) one-hour massage. Just bring your bib# to your appointment. Available times: Mondays and Wednesdays 469-0420 for appointments

Everyone needs a touch of compassion in their lives. Massage is not simply, muscles and elbow deep pressure to a persons low-back. There is so much more (subconsciously) that goes into a massage for the client and the therapist alike. For Alzheimer's sufferers, who often live inside their thoughts in the later stages, a simple touch- warm hands on their shoulders- could be enough to ease what they are going through. Holding their hands brings a connection and a link that can't be described in words.

An unbelievably sad day today. This life is so sweet and so precious. You have to make the most of every second! Never stop living. Most importantly, make EVERY day better than the last! Lets make a hard move towards peace!

TREADMILLS WILL EAT YOUR SOLE....... If you are properly dressed, you can avoid feeling like a hamster stuck on a spinning belt. You MAY even get a killer face tan! (Sunglasses tan-line optional)

I'm not a healer and I'm not a doctor, he would say, I'm just a mechanic. - Lauren Berry -

I just had an awesome massage with Cassondra at Massage Envy Spa Webster! I love being able to exchange massages with other therapists. It helps me learn new tricks and techniques that help me evolve as an LMT. Besides, I needed that massage before the Bills game today...

My thighs are still sore from Massage Envy's holiday (weekend-long) party this past weekend! It was a blast! Saturday morning began with a large group of us tackling the Jingle Bell 5k, put on by the Rochester Arthritis Foundation and YellowJacket Racing. The weather was perfect! You couldn't have asked for a better December race day. Bright sunshine, no wind, and mid-30s? Absolutely! Touring the MCC campus, over 700 participants came out to help raise money-and just have a g...ood time. With bells provided in every race packet, the "Jingle" was in the air, set to 180bpm! Sunday night brought even more fun. The night began at Laser Quest. With endless subs, drinks, etc the night was setting up great. Then, we spotted the bottomless cups of quarters. And, let me tell you... arcade games? They're still as fun as ever!!! After a few games of fusbol and air-hockey with Shawn (which usually ended in an own goal on my part), and shoot-out basketball with Rebecca my arms were feelin the burn! Then, the time came to... enter the arena. dun dun dun..... Yea, I'm awful at laser tag. Walking behind people, shooting them in the back 10 thousand times before they realized. Then, casually, they turn. One pull of the trigger, BAM I'm dead. Ugh. -MARSHALL! My gun isn't working.... -hmm... that's too bad... I stand by my story. Gun failure. NOT user-error!!! After three games of live-action Call of Duty fantasies lived out; drenched in sweat, barely able to walk, we were all treated to a great time at The Distillery. It was nice to get to talk to people from other locations I had just met at the race the day before, or people I had just "killed" (attempted to:) at Laser Quest. I can speak for myself and my new friends and coworkers from around the Rochester area, that we are very grateful to have had this opportunity. Massage Therapists are very much alike. Although we all have different personalities, you put us in a room together, it's gonna be a good time! It is awesome to be part of something like that. So, thank you, Massage Envy Spa Webster for giving everyone a great start to their holiday season! See more
