Prayers needed for our little man, Simba. He underwent emergency surgery last Wednesday night by Daddy (Dr. G) and is undergoing a very rough recovery and complications we are trying to manage. Even in our own household, we experience the pain and endless tears these days of seeing our own pets in distress so we understand and feel for our client’s when their furry family fall ill. Our hearts are longing for our Simba to get better and to return to us healthy with each passing day. Thank you Daddy (Dr. G) for all your TLC, surgical expertise and daily treatment you are giving our little man.

We’d like to take the time to remind all our pet owners that many foods can be highly or even mildly toxic to pets and may even lead to death. Please take a few minutes to review the list and feel free to share with others. This information can save you from worry, anxiety, hospitalization and possibly death. Some foods that are considered good for people can be very dangerous for pets. This is not an exhaustive list, and any decision to provide your pet with food that is con...sidered human food should be discussed with your veterinarian. The following foods may be dangerous to your pet: Alcoholic beverages Apple seeds Apricot pits Avocados Cherry pits Candy (particularly chocolatewhich is toxic to dogs, cats, and ferretsand any candy containing the toxic sweetener Xylitol) Coffee (grounds, beans, and chocolate-covered espresso beans) Garlic Grapes Gum (can cause blockages and sugar free gums may contain the toxic sweetener Xylitol) Hops (used in home beer brewing) Macadamia nuts Moldy foods Mushroom plants Mustard seeds Onions and onion powder Peach pits Potato leaves and stems (green parts) Raisins Rhubarb leaves Salt Tea (because it contains caffeine) Tomato leaves and stems (green parts) Walnuts Xylitol (artificial sweetener that is toxic to pets) Yeast dough
