TODAY WE REMEMBER Today, we take the time to honor the millions of victims of ethnic cleansing by listening to those who survived these atrocities, and using their remarkable testimonies of survival and loss to cultivate empathy and respect in future generations so that these atrocities may never happen again. https://www.annefrankproject-sophiaslegacy.com/curriculum

Holocaust Remembrance Day: January 27 The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27 the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It is of utmost importance that through the preservation of testimony, we not only remember the Holocaust, but understand how it came to be, so that we can prevent future atrocities from happening again. ... The need for Holocaust education and remembrance is more important than ever. Testimony is essential to combating increased levels of disinformation and hate speech including Antisemitism and Holocaust denial. As we look back to a dark 2020 we are painfully aware of the rise in white-supremacy, antisemitism and national hate-terrorism. WE MUST TEACH OUR YOUNG PEOPLE HOW TO NAVIGATE THEIR REALITY. Buffalo State's Anne Frank Project Is responding to this need with SOPHIA'S LEGACY. Please visit our site, contact us and let's commit to building the '...improved world...' Anne Frank dared to dream about...Together! https://www.annefrankproject-sophiaslegacy.com/
