On my way home from work last week I saw a seagull get hit by a car. When I looked in my rear view I saw that it was still alive so I turned around. I felt that if I didn’t do anything it would be just as good as me killing the bird and I didn’t want that on my conscience. So I called a bunch of vet offices to find out who would help. I found a couple places that would take the bird but no one had the resources to send help. They told me to catch the bird and bring it to thei...r facility. I sat there watching him, feeding him bread for an hour and a half trying to get the courage to catch him. Then I thought about my friend who is heavily involved in the rescue community and messaged her. Within minutes she said someone was on the way. When Frankie got there he was amazing. Didn’t even think twice. Now the bird is getting the help it needs to live out it’s life. I checked on him last week and he’s doing good.
