Students in the Appalachian State University Department of Theatre and Dance were featured on BroadwayWorld! "In honor of their cancelled production of Spring Awakening, students from Appalachian State University put together a video of themselves singing The Song of Purple Summer."

The following passage is from Abby Alexander Craven in South Carolina. My husband is a Hospitalist in Murrells Inlet, SC, and we decided it was best for him to move into a hotel. We don’t want to risk our 4 & 5-year-old daughters to get sick. He usually comes up to the porch, and we open the window to talk to him ...and have dinner. I posted a video of them crying while he was trying to say goodbye. The original post was used to encourage my friends to stay home. I had no idea I would wake up to over 10,000 shares and 500,000 + views. We had numerous news interviews around SC. Two of your alumni, Clint Hughes and David Small, who were strangers, offered us to use their camper in our driveway so my husband could be close to home. They drove from Spartanburg and Columbia early Saturday morning to reliever the camper to our house. #appstatealumni My cousin (Wesley Alexander) is a December 2019 graduate of Appalachian State.
