In keeping up with tradition, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School Student Government members will host the 34th annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner fro...m 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19 in front of the junior-senior high school. Local senior citizens who reside within the school district boundaries will still be able to enjoy turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and more of the traditional Thanksgiving Day feast, but due to COVID-19 protocols, the event will be held drive-through style. Senior residents may pick-up their to-go boxes, complete with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, squash, vegetables, rolls, condiments and pie for dessert at no cost. Any senior who wishes to place an order for a Thanksgiving to-go box may call the school’s main office at (315) 625-5220, beginning Oct. 19. Orders will only be accepted through Nov. 4, so seniors are encouraged to call early to ensure there will be enough food to complete each order. This came directly from the front office and I was asked to post this on our Alumni Page. Please share.

Here's a quick tutorial on how to do daily attendance. Mrs. Mullin and Mr. Trumble demonstrate for the 6th grade, but there's a link under the elementary daily attendance for the high school, and the process is the same. Please "like" and "share" this post so we can spread the word. We appreciate your help. Enjoy!

REMOTE LEARNING UPDATES-PLEASE READ! Per the email from the District this afternoon: Dear Parents and Families,... Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We have updated the Remote Learning Dashboard for this year. This is an online learning resource bank to assist you in helping your children engage in learning experiences, whether in the hybrid setting or 100% virtual. The Remote Learning Dashboard can be accessed via the APW website in the following places: Student Resources, and Parent Resources. For elementary students simply click on the grade level, and for JSHS students click on the subject area. For teachers using Google Classroom, access codes are included. In addition, you will find links to several of the online programs your child will be using in the classroom. You will also notice a section in red for daily attendance. Each day students participate in learning from home online, please complete the attendance form, as this is required by the New York State Department of Education. For assistance with logins and Gmail, please click on Student Login Guidance. For additional assistance, you may also contact the Family Help Desk at [email protected] or (315) 625-5240. We trust you will find this resource to be a valuable learning tool. Please stay connected through our APW Facebook page, email, and online learning platforms. -end of email- Please, take a minute tonight to check your access and have your kids log in so they know they are ready for tomorrow. Here's wishing everyone a fantastic first day at APW! #togetherasrebels

Rebel Nation...school starts for everyone tomorrow! Please check out our three separate posts of things you should do TODAY to make sure your first day of school is fantastic! The THIRD post is: 3. Prepare for the adventure that is school this year! Talk with your kids about the changes in their routine and encourage them to have an open mind and an attitude of kindness as we all prepare for a different kind of educational experience. Have them try on their backpack and mask...s and educate them on the school's requirements for social distancing. The quicker we all get it right, the quicker we can all move forward with the business of learning. All the teachers and staff are looking forward to seeing your kiddos over the next few days. They are eager to get back to the classroom and do what they love-- educate the Rebel Nation! This is just ONE of THREE things you need to do today! Check out our page and "like" us to stay on top of what's going on at APW. #TogetherasRebels
