Hound lovers meet Marge! She is a sweet, loving seven-year old dog who, like most hounds, sees the world through her nose. She came to ARF from our rescue trip to Louisiana earlier this year. Marge loves attention and would love a big back yard to explore. She gets along with other dogs but is not a fan of cats. Marge would make a great addition to any family, large or small. She has been vacationing at our abode for last few weeks while waiting to find her forever home. Although she was very shy at first, she has not only come out of her shell, but figuratively shattered the shell and is a big ball of confident energy now. Likes: making wine with catnip and... water (every single day we find her mouse in her water bowl), hitting the deck for pets (shown in photo....she will quite literally fall over at the sight of you to express her desire for pets), peeking out through the glass door to spy on everyone, and most recently (very exciting) taking a snooze in a warm lap. FOSTERS NEEDED! Pepper is just one of the dogs looking for a foster home. Diagnosed with heartworm, we would love to see her adopted or at least living with a foster family during her medical treatment, which is all covered by ARF. In the months ahead, as ARF undertakes a major construction and renovation project on our campus, foster families will become an important way for us to continue our rescue and adoption work without pause. I’m volunteering for the wonderful Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) (@arfhamptons ) of the Hamptons and fostering these two fuzzy brothers, Martin and Davis. Just picked them up today. They are super sweet and a little shy, and are part of ARF’s Operation Cat program, which seeks to spay/neuter and vaccinate feral cats before releasing them, or in this case, finding homes for feral kittens that can be socialized and then thrive in a home environment. Yesterday, we were able to help our friends at Heart of the Hamptons in Southampton and drop off some much-needed cat and dog food THANKS TO YOU!
