The Arlington Fire District proudly participated in Sheriff Anderson's 50th anniversary celebration. Butch has always been a true friend, and it was our honor to help celebrate such an important milestone.

By resolution of the US Senate, today is National 1st Responders Day. The Arlington Fire District pauses to recognize all of our members (both career & volunteer), as well as our brothers and sisters in the Fire Service, Law Enforcement, 911 Communications, and EMS, and takes this opportunity to say THANK YOU ALL for your service and dedication to the community.
Thank you to the Arlington Fire District for bringing educational materials to our school that focus on fire prevention and education.
Recent training for the career staff. NYS Medium Structural Collapse Operations:Tools certification for all members. These photos are from the cutting and concrete breaching portions of the course.
Thank you NYS Bridge Authority for remembering fallen firefighters nationwide. Never Forget !!
This week featured scenario-based extrication training for all 4 groups. Look closely, there is a motorcycle and it's rider underneath the rear axle of that truck, with the car wedged under the back end as well. The truck had to be stabilized, then lifted to remove the car, which in turn allowed access to the injured cyclist, for removal and medical care.
Libby assisted our Fire Investigators at many fire scenes over the years. Our condolences to Deputy O'Brien and the DC Sheriff's office.
Arlington Fire District awarded $67,000 Federal Grant

Our deepest condolences to the Vails Gate FD and the West Point FD.
As our region continues to gradually progress through the phases of reopening, it is now possible to have small gatherings. We are cautiously optimistic that these small steps back towards normal will continue going forward. We have been both honored and privliged to be able to assist the members of our community celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other family events over the last several weeks. We have performed drive bys, participated in community parades, and recogniz...ed those who are also on the front lines of providing medical care under the most difficult of circumstances. However, it is now time for us to return to more normal activities. We need to get back to training with our staff, and performing routine functions around the fire stations, while still maintaining an extremely heightened level of cleaning and disinfection, in order to keep both our responders, and those whom we serve, safe from exposure to the COVID virus. For these reasons, we will discontinue the practice of participating in these drive by celebrations, effective next Sunday, June 14. We will honor our commitment for any and all events currently scheduled with us, but will no longer accept new requests for events after the 14th. Thank you.
