Blustery Fall day here, with our first lake effect storm of the season.

With cooler weather and some color showing up, Fall is just around the corner.

This tree at the West end may be the next one to go, although Olmsted parks have left some dead trees standing, perhaps to create habitat for birds and other animals. Should we try that too?

Have you seen this bird here in Arlington Park? Maybe not, since the Merlin doesn't spend much time near the ground, but you have probably heard its distinctive call.
