SIAMANTO ACADEMY 2020-2021 FINAL ARMENIAN MUSIC CLASS On Saturday, December 19, the students of the Siamanto Academy had the last class of the Armenian Music, Part I. For the last ten meetings, they enjoyed the warmth of Mr. Raffi Rachduni, a professional, hard-working, energetic, and enthusiastic teacher. In the second half of the last meeting, some of the students shared their impressions or heartfelt words. On this occasion, some also had short performances either by singi...ng or playing an instrument. The mood was jovial, yet at the same time emotional, altogether different from some reservation shown initially. In the end, they got in the mood. You may read below their impressions in their own words, which we will be sharing regularly: I really liked this course because I’ve always been into Armenian music as my dad is music player, so learning where these songs came from it’s really cool and interesting for me. CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR THE CHILDREN OF ARTSAKH TANIEL VAROUJAN ARMENIAN SCHOOL (IL) is raising money to buy gifts for displaced children of Artsakh. Normally, this time of year, the school hosts an All Armenian Children Christmas party. However, due to COVID, they are unable to host this annual fundraiser. Instead, their hearts and prayers are with the displaced children of Artsakh.... In this season of giving, please consider the plight of those in Artsakh who have been evicted from their homes. OUR SCHOOLS TODAY ANEC remains in continuous contact with all our everyday and Saturday schools. Archbishop Anoushavan presided over a special Zoom meeting held on Saturday, November 7, with the participation of all principals. We are highly appreciative of the continuous efforts deployed by our schools to maintain their educational level and the goal of teaching Armenian language and culture despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. The setbacks brought by Covid-19 s...oon turned into forward steps in our schools, thanks to our skilled education army, the principals, educators, their supportive parents and all those dedicated and responsible people.
