Starting Thursday, October 29th and Friday October 30th our district will adjust its food service support for students. Hybrid students will be offered meals "bagged to go" as they exit the building at dismissal. These bags will include 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches. This will happen weekly on Thursday and Friday, only for our hybrid students. This program shift will allow our students and families to receive additional food for remote days while at school, instead of requi...ring a daily trip to the building to pick up meals from our cafeteria. For students that are fully remote, those who are interested in 5 meals "bagged to go," should contact our main office stating such as soon as possible. This will place your child's name on our cafeteria's meal prep list. Once expressing interest, names will remain on the list and meals will be prepared weekly. Families are welcome to join this program at any time, but advance notice is required to receive bagged meals. Meals for remote students will be available on Wednesdays, beginning on November 4th. These can be picked up each week between 10am and noon from our cafeteria door in the side parking lot off Monty Street.

Dear Hornet families and colleagues: A Plattsburgh City School District student has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolated. The student has been a remote-...learner for the past several weeks, and initial contact tracing efforts by the Clinton County Health Department have identified no known contact with other students within the district. As the student has not been on-site or to any sporting events in over 2 weeks, CCHD is not requesting any additional assistance with contact tracing from the district at this time. No change to school operations are contemplated. Continue Reading Below:

As we are about to begin the month of October, please mark your calendars: - There will be school on October 9th. The district used this Superintendent's Day in the beginning of the year. - The October early release day has been moved from Tuesday, October 20th to Wednesday, October 21st. It is logical to move this day to reduce the interruption to in-person instruction for students. On this particular day live remote instruction will be suspended. The morning will be reserved for office hours to assist students starting at the commencement of the school day until 11:15.
