The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act - While the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act does not explicitly mandate an employer offer employees health care coverage, employers with 50 full-time equivalent employees may be subject to mandate penalties (up to $3,000 per employee) in 2014 if they do not offer their employees affordable health care coverage.
