ACWC & Creekside Fabrics 2020 Youth Scholar #Mara #Hoyt spent part of her day with our cosponsor of this annual scholarship #SandyPirdy. Sandy is the owner of #Creekside Fabrics in Arcade. The ACWC is deeply grateful to Sandy and Ed Pirdy for their support of this scholarship. Mara learned a little bit about some of the programs, services, and products that Creekside Fabrics offers.... Mara has been working hard since last year to prepare for her upcoming solo art show at the ACWC this coming May. We are excited to see how this scholarship has helped her become a better young artist. A real fun part of this scholarship is for our young artist to have lunch with Sandy. This is our eighth year treating the young artist scholars to this fun activity!

(Virtual) Fiber Flurry is coming! Today's featured vendor is Megs & Co. Megs & Co is a fiber arts boutique specializing in small batch hand dyed yarn in a palette of inspiring vibrant speckled and tonal colorways. Color has always driven the Megs & Co design process, whether creating new patterns or dying fiber, it always comes back to color. For fiber artists, colors must be more than one of a kind, they must be inspiring to the designer and above all wearable. That is why at Megs & Co we strive to find that perfect balance between unique, creative, and wearable. Knitting and crochet patterns should not need to be highly complex to render an incredible garment and we aim to create fiber colorways that will allow your project to stand out. You can visit their website at http://www.megsandco.com
