A virtual informational session on the NY Forward Loan Program will be hosted by Empire State Development, in partnership with the Suffolk County Alliance of Chambers and Nassau County Council of Chambers on Monday, Dec. 14 at 12:30 p.m. This program is aimed at supporting small businesses, nonprofits and small residential landlords in New York as the reopening process continues amid the COVID-19 pandemic and NYS on PAUSE. On this day, 72 years ago, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. It is a celebration of the proclaiming inalienable rights of which all humans are entitled to regardless of their background. Did you know, with the UDHR being available in over 500 languages, it is the world’s most translated document!

So the Democrats in the Assembly are wasting no time in carrying the Governors water in introducing a bill to authorize the NYS Department of Health to mandate the covid vaccine for those people with no health restrictions. Assembly bill A11179 (Linda Rosenthal) introduced 12/4/2020. So far there is no companion bill in the Senate. Now is the time to make your opposition heard.

Today, we remember the 2,403 lives, both military and civilian, lost during the attack on Pearl Harbor. We also honor and recognize those who survived the attack. Today is a day we won’t ever forget.
