With some spectacular assistance from some of our loyal fans, we were able to survive another week of substantial financial pressures. There is light at the end of the tunnelbut we remain in the position of again seeking your help while our cash resources are depleted. We continue to fill and deliver every floral and gift basket order as we always havebut we ha...ve been limited in the quantity of flowers we can afford to buy. Unfortunately, floral industry salesand our ownhave been depressed since Mother’s Daywhich has affected our cash flow. And, our accounts are paying their bills later in the monthas is the case with our payment from FTD for prior orders we filled. Cash resources don’t always match cash needsand our current predicament is a classic case of that incongruence. We are pleased to report that our customers can once again select products and place orders on these sites that were created just for us and maintained by us. Dear Good Samaritan of CitiFloral & Jeff Gaster, We are facing an existential crisis which requires us to ask for your immediate help to keep our operations going for the foreseeable future. During the past week, we barely had enough cash resources to pay for our flowers. And, nowas we face the beginning of the first post-holiday weekJeff is trying to figure out how to scrape enough cash together to buy the flowers we need to fill our orders. The floral business is not like... it used to bebut the decline in cash flow so far this summer is far worse than it’s ever been. CitiFloral depends on its regular cash flow from customer credit card ordersbut those nearly disappeared during the past week in which our major websites have been off since our hosting partner went out of business (until the new one gets them back up and running). If it’s not one thing, it’s anotheror both. Our other sources of cashbilled customer accounts and payments from FTD, Teleflora and other wire servicesare always received later in the month. As we constantly have expenses that can’t wait for later in the month, CitiFloral is in a bind of monumental proportions that threatens our continuing existence. We have continued to fulfill our service to our customers, to the community, and to the floral industryno matter how daunting economic pressures have been. We’ve come to the point that we are forced to issue a fervent plea to all of you to help us make it through this most troubled time. When we were at the brink before, we turned to youour Good Samaritansfor helpand you have responded with unbelievable generosity.
