Should I Tell Him Fishing is sizing up with a good start to the season so far for the local anglers in our region. The reality is spring is finally here in the Adirondacks. Trees have recently started to show the leaves, fiddleheads popped up in the last week. Dogwoods, Dandelions, Trilliums, are blooming, and Hendrickson's are on the water. Brook trout pond fishing has been great, salmon fish moderate, trout fishing under little pressure with some good catches on the warmer... days. Most stocking is completed by now. The water was below the seasonal average for the last week. We have been dry. Today's rain will help that. Some areas received more rain than others. The passing storms had cells in it. I have seen some Olives on the cloudy days as well as smaller brown stoneflies. Below is the other day salmon fishing with my buddy. He spent a bunch of time looking in his box to change flies that he was using. If he only knew the one that I was using, the Golden Witch.
