Jing: The Energy of Life Ancient Chinese teachings say that the human being is composed of three treasures, the first one is "Jing", also known as our "energy o...f life". Jing is related to one's primal genetic potential and life expectancy. An article called "The Three Treasures" gives us a better understanding of what Jing is: "Jing is generally translated as Regenerative Essence, or simply as Essence. Jing energy is fundamental to life. It is the deepest source of energy in the body and is associated with our genetics. Jing is also our long-term energy and may be thought of as our life force reserve. In Asia, Jing is associated with regeneration, longevity, youthfulness, deep long-term vitality, mental energy, and the source of power for the reproductive system and the immune system for optimal functioning. Jing energy also supports our skeletal system, renal functions and our ability to hear. Jing is believed to govern our courage and is the power behind our will. Jing is stored throughout the body, especially in the Primary Organs: Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lungs, and most especially the Kidneys, which stores Jing for the whole body. The Jing stored in the Kidneys is the basis of health preservation and longevity. Jing can be easily replenished with the correct, high quality tonic herbs. Jing energy is depleted by living itself, but most especially by stress, excessive behavior, and overwork. Jing energy can be re-acquired and replenished through the consumption of certain rare herbs which contain this treasure. Jing herbs are divided into two categories: Yin and Yang tonics. Sophisticated formulations have been developed over the centuries that build Yin and Yang energy and these are created by blending Yin herbs and Yang herbs in one's diet. The secret of rejuvenation and in maintaining our health lies in rebuilding the right balance of Yin and Yang." Source: https://www.dragonherbs.com/the-three-treasures According to Qigong Master Roger Jahnke, OMD, we're healthy and whole when our Jing, Qi, and Shen communicate harmoniously with one another. This perfect state of homeostasis can be thrown into flux, however, by a massive array of stressors in our everyday lives. When we're in balance, we feel equanimity and vitality and when we're not, we are more susceptible to sickness and emotional turmoil. Watch the recording of this powerful online workshop with Dr. Jahnke to learn about and even feel the palpable benefits of aligning and integrating the Three Treasures, using the gentle movements and breathing techniques of Qigong to attain inner coherence. An unexpected symbiotic relationship is elicited, creating a sense of wellbeing, emotional stability, and a strong connection to the Universal ONEness. Dr. Jahnke leads a Qigong practice to help maintain a clear connection within your integrated triune self. You'll feel the Three Treasures flowing freely, enabling you to transform your Jing into Qi, which then can be transmuted into Shen, optimizing your body and mind, while elevating your spirit to a new level of clarity and understanding. WOW!! Research at Stanford University is finding acoustics to create NEW HEART tissue This image shows the ‘cymatics’, or geometric patterns created in ...heart cells when applying various sounds. In bio-acoustic sound medicine, is taught that sounds are imprinting every cell and science continues to prove this ancient axiom. Cardiologist Sean Wu, MD, PhD and Utkan Demirci, PhD, an acoustic bio-engineer use acoustics to manipulate heart cells into intricate patterns. A simple change in frequency and amplitude puts the cells in motion, guides them to a new position and holds them in place. Acoustics can create a form that resembles natural cardiac tissue. With sound they can create new tissue to replace parts of damaged hearts. Acoustics can be used in reconstructing other organ tissue and blood vessels. Sounds are use to create and harmonize, as well as clean and release. Both principles are used in science using high precision acoustical generators. The same principles can be applied safely by individuals using non-invasive, natural harmonic sounds, such as our voices and acoustic instruments. "How does one maintain the state of "mushin" consistently and effortlessly?" Dr. Jahnke answers... "MUSHIN in Japanese, WUXIN in Chinese is a purposefully acqui...red state or dynamic of mind! It is nearly impossible to sustain this state consistently AND it is nearly impossible to experience this state with no effort - UNLESS one is so thoroughly disciplined that nothing is experienced with enthusiasm, aspiration or even consideration. You and I will very likely only rarely experience it for a few moments. The aspiration to understand and the sincere pursuit of the experience of this state are not it. The best word in your question is "how". It can not be purchased. It can only be arrived at through intent and non-reactivity. Wu Wei, the Chinese concept for naturally arriving at and accepting that which naturally arises is close to a "WAY" to access Wu Xin (Mu Shin). However, a significant time of sincere effort and discipline are required to discontinue "trying" = effort. So, sorry, in most cases probably neither sustainable nor effortless. We can cultivate toward it together and celebrate the occasional moments of Wu Xin that our cultivation supports us in achieving. My personal view is that Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, meditation, gardening, time in nature, art are some of the practices that support us in realizing the "how" of Wu Xin - Mu Shin." - Roger Jahnke, OMD Source: https://www.quora.com/How-does-one-maintain-//Roger-Jahnke

"In relation to Qi (sometimes Chi), it is essentially identical. Qi is the Chinese word for universal energy."
